(1) Connect the power supply: connect the servo drive to an appropriate power supply, and ensure that the power supply parameters match the drive requirements.

(2) Connect the encoder: Connect the encoder of the motor to the feedback interface of the servo driver. An encoder is used to provide a feedback signal of the motor’s current position and speed.

(3) Connect the control signal: Connect the output signal of the controller (such as PLC) to the control interface of the servo driver. These signals include position command, speed command and torque command, etc.

(4) Parameter setting: Set the parameters of the servo drive according to actual needs. These parameters include motor type, rated current, speed limit, acceleration and deceleration, etc.

(5) Enable the drive: Before starting the operation, it is necessary to enable the servo drive through the control signal. In this way, the driver can accept the instructions of the controller and drive the motor.

(6) Operation and monitoring: Once the driver is enabled, it will control the movement of the motor according to the control signal. By monitoring the status and feedback signals of the drive, the parameters such as the position, speed and torque of the motor can be known in real time.
