Les calculateurs sont \u00e9galement appel\u00e9s n\u0153uds, et au moins deux n\u0153uds doivent \u00eatre pr\u00e9sents sur le r\u00e9seau CAN pour pouvoir communiquer. Un n\u0153ud peut \u00eatre aussi complexe qu'un simple dispositif d'entr\u00e9e\/sortie ou un composant int\u00e9gr\u00e9 qui contient un interpr\u00e8te CAN et est \u00e9quip\u00e9 d'un logiciel. Un n\u0153ud peut \u00e9galement \u00eatre une passerelle qui permet \u00e0 un ordinateur ordinaire de communiquer avec des dispositifs sur le r\u00e9seau CAN via un port USB ou Ethernet.<br \/>\nTous les n\u0153uds sont reli\u00e9s entre eux par deux bus parall\u00e8les, les deux fils formant une paire torsad\u00e9e et \u00e9tant connect\u00e9s \u00e0 une imp\u00e9dance caract\u00e9ristique de Contr\u00f4leur CAN ; fait g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement partie d'un microcontr\u00f4leur int\u00e9gr\u00e9.<br \/>\nR\u00e9ception : Le contr\u00f4leur CAN stocke les octets s\u00e9riels re\u00e7us du bus, et le processeur principal peut acc\u00e9der \u00e0 ce message lorsque le message de donn\u00e9es est termin\u00e9 (g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement gr\u00e2ce au d\u00e9clenchement d'une interruption par le contr\u00f4leur CAN).<br \/>\nTransmission : le processeur principal envoie des informations de transmission au contr\u00f4leur CAN, apr\u00e8s r\u00e9ception, lorsque le bus est inactif, pour transmettre les informations de bits s\u00e9rie au bus.<br \/>\n3, \u00e9metteur-r\u00e9cepteur ; d\u00e9fini par la norme ISO11898-2\/3 relative aux unit\u00e9s d'acc\u00e8s au support (MAU)<br \/>\nRecevoir : Convertit le flux de donn\u00e9es de la couche de bus CAN en une norme utilisable par le contr\u00f4leur CAN. Les contr\u00f4leurs CAN sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement \u00e9quip\u00e9s de circuits de protection.<br \/>\nTransmettre : Convertit le flux de donn\u00e9es du contr\u00f4leur CAN vers la couche du bus CAN.<br \/>\nChaque n\u0153ud peut envoyer et recevoir des messages, mais pas simultan\u00e9ment. Un message ou une trame se compose principalement d'un identificateur (ID), qui indique la priorit\u00e9 du message, et d'un maximum de huit octets de donn\u00e9es. Le CAN FD am\u00e9lior\u00e9 \u00e9tend chaque trame \u00e0 un maximum de 64 octets. Les messages sont transmis en s\u00e9rie sur la ligne principale au format NRZ (non-return-to-zero) et peuvent \u00eatre re\u00e7us par tous les n\u0153uds.<br \/>\nLes dispositifs connect\u00e9s par un r\u00e9seau CAN sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement des capteurs, des actionneurs et d'autres dispositifs de contr\u00f4le.
