Les moteurs \u00e0 balais comportent des structures de collecteur et de balais de carbone, et les moteurs sans balais utilisent des dispositifs de direction \u00e9lectroniques au lieu de balais de carbone pour la direction du rotor. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Les moteurs \u00e0 courant alternatif peuvent \u00eatre divis\u00e9s en moteurs \u00e0 courant alternatif synchrones et en moteurs \u00e0 courant alternatif asynchrones. Le stator du moteur c.a. synchrone est un aimant enroul\u00e9 et le rotor est un aimant permanent. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Le stator du moteur asynchrone \u00e0 courant alternatif est \u00e9galement un aimant de bobinage, mais le rotor est en forme de cage d'\u00e9cureuil et n'appartient pas \u00e0 l'aimant permanent lui-m\u00eame. Il se d\u00e9place par induction \u00e9lectronique.
