Las ECUs tambi\u00e9n se denominan nodos, y al menos dos nodos est\u00e1n presentes en la red CAN para poder comunicarse. Un nodo puede ser tan complejo como un simple dispositivo de entrada\/salida o como un componente integrado que contiene un int\u00e9rprete CAN y est\u00e1 equipado con software. Un nodo tambi\u00e9n puede ser una pasarela que permite a un ordenador normal comunicarse con dispositivos de la red CAN a trav\u00e9s de un puerto USB o Ethernet.<br \/>\nTodos los nodos est\u00e1n Los controladores CAN suelen estar equipados con circuitos de protecci\u00f3n.<br \/>\nTransmitir: Convierte el flujo de datos del controlador CAN a la capa de bus CAN.<br \/>\nCada nodo puede enviar y recibir mensajes, pero no simult\u00e1neamente. Un mensaje o trama se compone principalmente de un identificador (ID), que indica la prioridad del mensaje, y hasta ocho bytes de datos. crc, ack y otras partes de la trama tambi\u00e9n forman parte del mensaje. El CAN FD mejorado ampl\u00eda cada trama hasta un m\u00e1ximo de 64 bytes.
